2023 Seasonal Garden Crew

Bell’s Farm is currently hiring field crew members to work in the vegetable garden for the 2023
season.

 

Located in Coupeville, Bell’s Farm is a multigenerational farm raising pastured
livestock, strawberries, mixed vegetables and cut flowers. At Bell’s, we are committed to
growing sustainably in a way that protects soil health, produces nutritious food, and promotes
community engagement. We are currently seeking hard-working individuals with an interest in
local food, gardening, or just working outside to join our team for the 2023 season in a full-time
or part-time capacity. Previous experience is preferred but not necessary.
The field crew will work closely with the Garden Manager to raise crops on 5+ acres and market
our produce through our on-farm stand, the Whidbey Island Grown food hub, restaurant
accounts, and other local markets.

 

Duties and responsibilities will include greenhouse seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting,
washing, packing, and distributing vegetables. Crew members will also assist with farm stand
set up each day and will deliver vegetables on a rotating schedule.
Applicants should be comfortable with physical labor, be willing to work in all weather conditions,
and have a valid driver’s license. We are looking for energetic, self-motivated, and detail-
oriented folks.

 

This is a seasonal position from March to Mid-November, but year-round work is available for
the right candidate. A typical work week will be Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm with
an hour-long lunch break. Compensation starts at $17.00 plus farm veggies.

Livestock Farm Hand

Livestock Farm Hand

Part time and full time available

$17.00 hr. + depending on experience

 

Bells Farm is looking for Livestock farm hands for our regenerative grazing operation. This is a pasture based system where animals are moved daily. We are looking for motivated hardworking individuals with a love for animals. Duties include moving temporary fencing, filling water troughs, driving tractors, fixing fences and gates, feeding hay, care and sorting of livestock as needed. Work is outside in all weather conditions, and the right candidate will be able to work with empathy and care for our animals, be able to adapt quickly depending on conditions and be willing to learn other aspects of our farm operation as needed including hay production. Willing to work weekends a plus, previous experience preferred and especially additional experience in tractor work, mechanics, and hay production but not required. We are looking for team players with an interest in healthy agriculture. This has the potential to be a year round position for the right person.
